Harley Coleman is a Sydney-based guitarist, composer and improviser.

A musician of many worlds, he has performed across Australia at venues and festivals including MONA FOMA (Hobart), JazzLab (Melbourne), and SIMA’s Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival. His work includes studio production and performance across stylistically diverse projects, including Sabine Tapia’s recent single and Tessie Overmyer’s debut record, alongside performances for Belvoir Theatre’s King Lear and national touring with Luminescence Chamber Singers premiering Andy Ford’s Red Dirt Hymns. He is a sought-after collaborator within Sydney’s jazz and improvised music community.

Harley has participated in the Australian Art Orchestra’s Creative Music Intensive (2021) and the Siena International Jazz Workshop (2024), and has worked with artists including Jonathan Zwartz, Cameron Undy, Andrea Keller, Sam Anning, Ben Vanderwal, Steve Barry, and Carl Dewhurst.

A regular presence at The Temperance Society in Summer Hill, he performs Saturday weekly with rotating ensembles of Sydney-based musicians.

In 2025, three new albums will be released across his solo and collaborative projects.
